The Iqaluit Community Greenhouse Society is looking for some help in a couple of different ways.
First, we will be participating in the rummage sale at Inuksuk High School this Saturday, February 1 between 11 AM and 3 PM. The rummage sale will raise funds for the school’s Environmental Club trip to the Galapagos Islands and we are excited to help them reach their goals. As a side benefit, we will be able to raise funds for our own cause as well. We are looking for donations of items we can sell. If you have any items you would like to get rid of, please contact the ICGS and let us know you will be bringing something. Please bring your items to the school around 10:30 AM so we can begin selling them at 11 AM.
Second, Bernardin Canada has contacted us regarding a major publication that they are currently working on. They are interested in speaking to farmers and growers across Canada regarding preserving and canning. They are looking to chat about the area, specifically what products are grown, popular and local. If you are interested, be sure to contact Suzanne.
Third, don’t forget about our annual survey! If you haven’t filled it out, please give us your opinions!
